1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Build Blog.
Part One |
Basic Assembly of the model so far. The fit is fairly good on this one so far.
Part Two |
For this build I created 2 custom colors using to try and replicate original paint colors for the 1957 year models. I chose a two toned green set that just screams 1950's at me. Plus it is very different from most of the red's and black's I see done for this kit.
Part Three |
My custom light greenish base color sprayed on using my Badger Patriot airbrush. A very smooth coverage so far. The actual color is not so well seen in the bright light here.
Part Four |
The Second darker green color added, sprayed with my Badger Patriot 105. There are a few areas I need to work on. Also a view of the basic two toned interier. I used a more balanced light so the colors are more accurate.

Part Seven |
In this photo you can see more masking, and some chrome areas I have already painted. Also note the bronze brown panel inset between the chrome trims. And yes I know I am going very slow on this build.
Part Eight |
Here it is all the parts finally coming together to make up a whole.
Part Nine The Finished Photo |
