Model Gallery: A6M5c Zero, Tamiya Kit in 1/48
Built 08/19/2002
Build Notes:
This is Tamiya's older offering of a A6M5c Zero, I chose to do this one as I needed more practice on aircraft and choose it because you can find it at the hobby store fairly cheap, you will be willing to try new things and not have to worry about messing up as you would on a higher priced kit.
The model was painted using Model Master Enamels, mainly Japanese Imp Green and Gray. I didn't lighten them for scale effect and the green looks a bit too dark to me esp in the pictures. I masked the canopy with a Liquid Masking product and used future on the whole aircraft so the decals would look better. The other things I did was to add seat belts made out of masking tape and flap and gear levers made from stock styrene in the cockpit.
