Model Gallery:   Imperial Star Destroyer, Metal Earth's 3D Model Kit

Built for the Sci-Fi and Alternative History III Campaign .  July 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017

Build Notes:

This is a Metal Earth kit, a fairly new entry into the causal model builder hobby.  This kit consisted of 2 flat metal sheets of pre-cut laser etched parts to build into a 3D metal model.

The construction is done by bending the parts into the correct shapes and putting them together using a slot and tab method.  The parts can be a bit difficult to fold esp. the round shapes, and you have to be careful not to over-bend and break the parts or tabs.  This kit was my third attempt at one of these, and was fairly easy to build, the hardest part being the round exhausts.  

After getting the hang of this type of construction, there wasn't that much trouble building it, and after building it looks great.  I recommend a set of metal shaping pliers for building this type of kit.
