Model Gallery:   ZIS 5V, PST kit in 1/72

Built from 7/29/06 to 7/30/06.

Build Notes:

One of my quickest builds ever.

This is my first 1/72 scale model.

The kit has about 50 parts and the molding is ok though there isn't a lot of detail and there is a bit of flash esp on the wheels. I had to add some things to the kit such as the windows and driveshaft and better axles. Also the decals for this kit are rather thick.

The ZIS-5V is a simpler version of the ZIS-5 built cheaper and using less of the critical resouces that were in short supply during the war.
