In Box Review:

Tamiya Special Air Service Jeep in 1/35 Scale #35033

My first impression of this kit upon opening the box, is, not to bad for an older kit. The date on the box is 1974 so you can't really expect a lot from it.

In the box there are approximately 135 parts, give or take a few,  all of which are in the basic tan plastic.   The body, tires, and drive train build up into a nice little kit.  Where the kit shows its age is in its details.

The machine guns, tarps, ammo cans, and esp the jerry cans are a bit blocky and lack detail.  Replacing these parts with newer plastic ones or resin greatly improves the basic kit.

There are some newer SAS Kits coming out now, but this oldie but goodie still builds up into a nice little kit with some care and use of the spares box.
