Walk Around Photo Feature: A Visit to the EAA Aviation Museum in 2017.
These photos were taken at theEAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Aviation Museum in 2017 in Oshkosh Wisconsin. These Photos are from a Museum visit, and not from their annual Fly in which is the largest event of its type.
From the Website:
"The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds.
Founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes, EAA expanded its mission of growing participation in aviation to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters, and contemporary manufactured aircraft."
The Museum is great, very modern, very clean and well lighted. The exhibits are explained well and are many and varied. From the very early pioneers to the private attempts at spaceflight. My favorite was the Eagle hanger, which is pretty much all WWII aircraft. This is one Museum I recommend everyone visit. Someday I hope to be able to go to the Fly in event. These photos are just a few of the hundreds I took just to give you an idea of what you will see.
