AMT's Coca Cola 1977 Ford Pinto  Build Blog.

 Here is the Basic assembly done..  This is a Re-release by Round 2 of the old AMT kit, and the molds show their age.  Lots of Ill Fitting parts and the some of the engine parts are just blobs of plastic.

 Body Painted in Testors Blazing Black all in one Lacquer paint.  A Metal Flake Black color.  I kind of like it.  

 Here is the Interior.  I used the Kylon Short Cuts paint True Taupe for the basic color.  Kinda matches what I remember from the 72 I owned.  Not much detail but used what I had.

Chassis painted Flat Black some steel color for contrast.  The Engine is Ford Blue and Aluminum, again nut much detail but some interesting contrasts.

 Final Assembly,  I used the Basic white Coca-Cola Decals and the coke bottle tinted windows.  Nothing I did got those windows to fit correctly.
